Twenty-six years on the same trade lanes.
American Export Company is a wholesale exporter of building materials headquartered in Jupiter, Florida. Since 2000 we have shipped more than 11,000 containers of U.S. construction supplies to buyers in the Caribbean, South America, Europe and the Middle East — roughly $300 million in exports across 2,530 customers.
Built for buyers the domestic supply chain wasn't set up to serve.
The company started in 2000 with a specific problem: a contractor on an island four hundred miles from Florida could buy American materials, but only by becoming their own freight forwarder. Twelve purchase orders, twelve suppliers, twelve partial shipments, twelve chances for something to arrive short, wet or not at all.
The fix was to stand between the buyer and the supply chain. We hold the manufacturer accounts, take delivery in Florida, count and inspect everything against the packing list, and load it into a single container with one commercial invoice and one bill of lading. The buyer places one order and receives one shipment.
Twenty-six years later the model hasn't changed, but the volume has. Eleven thousand containers, sixty countries, eleven million shipping miles. Most of the buyers we ship to this month have shipped with us before — which is the only durable proof in this business.
We are still a Florida company with a warehouse you can walk through, fifteen minutes from the Port of Palm Beach and inside an hour of Port Everglades and Miami. If you are in South Florida sourcing for an overseas project, come see the operation.
Wholesale, always
We buy at volume on standing manufacturer accounts and pass the price through. No retail markup layered on top.
